Program: Monroe Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee

Description:
Combines supervised, structured on-the-job training along with related theoretical instruction. Prepares individuals for skilled employment opportunities by conducting training in bona fide and documented employment settings. The term of electrical apprenticeship is five years, with a minimum of 8,000 hours on job training and a minimum of 800 hours of related classroom instruction. Electrical apprentices earn an excellent wage during the on job training phase of apprenticeship and receive incremental wage increases throughout the training in accordance with a predefined wage progression schedule. Participants learn by working directly under the supervision and tutelage of master electricians in electrical construction. The course curriculum is recognized and fully accredited by the American Council on Education. Graduates are eligible for 60 college semester credit hours.

Applications:
Applications for electrical apprenticeship opportunities are accepted on Mondays through Thursday from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM and from 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
